    Description

Chelsea Clock Co. The First 100 Years, New, Signed 2nd Edition, 2014 by Andrew & David Demeter
    ***** 18 Left in Inventory *****
Hard cover with Dust Jacket, 357 pages, Second Edition, 2014, ISBN: 978-0-9725111-0-0.
Chronicles the history of the company with a Model Identification Guide that provides catalog photos of Clock and Barometer models offered to dealers plus sections for the U.S. Military, U.S. Government Services and Limited Editions.
The Catalog Reference Guide indicates years of individual model production.  The Serial Number section is also a valuable source of information for the collector who's looking for movement model identification as well as their dates of manufacture.
The second edition has been updated and expanded to include:
    • Individual indices that list every clock made for the U.S. Lighthouse Establishment & Service, U.S. Life-Saving Service, and U.S. Revenue Cutter Service by serial number, type, and date of issuance.  These indices are the result of a year-long review of over 260,000 individual entries in the factory’s Sales Ledgers for the period 1897-1941.
    • Ten more vintage models added to the Identification Guide and color photographs from some of the finest collections in America.
    • An Alphabetical Index of almost every Movement Model developed by the company by date and designated purpose.
    • A new Boston Clock Co. Index of this subsidiary’s manufacture of clocks from 1909 to 1931.
Eighty-five more pages of material to assist the collector in identifying factory issued models and their origins. By any measure a Collector would like to use, this is a better reference book than the first edition.
Condition is new and signed by Andrew Demeter.
Only 18 left and there are no plans for a re-print.  Comes with a new 3 page "Addendum & Corrections" supplement.
