With the introduction of the TREMEC TKX transmission the 5-speed manual transmission has never been easier to fit in your muscle car or hot rod. At Speedway Motors we want to help your installation so we put together the complete driveline package. The driveline package includes the TKX 5-Speed manual transmission, Chevy Lakewood steel bellhousing, Speedway hydraulic release bearing, McLeod Super Street Pro 11 inch clutch set with pressure plate, and ARP hardware. It also includes Speedmaster flywheel with removable weight for compatibility with small block and big block Chevy engines either internally or externally balanced.
TREMEC TKX 5-Speed Manual Transmission
For the development of the new transmission, TREMEC engineers took a forward-looking approach to finding the best and most efficient solution. This included universal packaging, excellent shifting performance, and extreme durability. The end result is superior shift-ability with smooth shifts at high RPMs through the use of multi-cone synchronizers and hybrid synchronizer rings. At the same time, noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) performance is optimized with a gear layout to best control stress levels, while providing structural stiffness with a ribbed, 3-piece aluminum housing. Durability is further optimized with oversized gear widths, gaskets at all flanges and caged needle bearings in all gear positions.
Lakewood Steel Bellhousing
The Lakewood bellhousing connects Chevy Engines to transmissions using the GM standard pattern such as the Muncie, Saginaw, Borg Warner T10, TREMEC TKO and TKX transmissions. This bellhousing is not S.F.I. certified so it is ideal for street rods, muscle cars and trucks. This bellhousing is designed to fit GM full and midsized vehicles from 1958-1987.

McLeod Super Street Pro 11 Inch Clutch
McLeod Super Street Pro clutch kit was designed with the street and track in mind. This kit is recommended to be used in vehicles with moderate engine mods and street tires. This kit is rated for up to 550 horsepower. This Super Street Pro Clutch Kit is SFI approved. Included is a high clamp load pressure plate, a dual faced organic and metallic disc for smooth engagement and excellent holding power. If you are looking for a street friendly yet track proven clutch, the McLeod Super Street Pro is your best choice.
Speedway Hydraulic Release Bearing
Speedway Motors’ hydraulic release bearing kit provides everything you need to ditch your stock, tired mechanical linkage and go hydraulic at a great value. The kit features a new and improved release bearing designed by Speedway Motors’ Engineering Team with a CNC-machined housing, extended fluid line fittings, and a built-in fail-safe retainer. There is simply no way to over-extend this release bearing with this retainer design. Typically over-extending the release bearing means pulling the transmission and reassembling the separated bearing (not to mention cleaning up all that hydraulic fluid in the bellhousing!). Also included are a sufficient number of release bearing shims to correctly set your air gap between the bearing face and clutch, as well as both 5/16- and 3/8-inch anti-rotation studs to fit a wide variety of GM manual transmission applications.

Return Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If within 60 days after you receive your shipment and you are not satisfied, you may return the item for a refund. Refunds will be processed (1-2) days after the item is received by Speedway. All returned merchandise must be in original factory condition with no modifications or alterations. A restocking fee up to 15% may be applied if items are not in new condition.
Returned merchandise must include all packaging materials, warranty cards, manuals, and accessories. If the items being returned need to be repackaged, there will be a repacking charge. Repack the item in a sturdy box, include a copy of your invoice and complete the form on the back of the invoice. You must ship orders back PREPAID. WE DO NOT ACCEPT COD SHIPMENTS.
All fiberglass items returned will be subject to a 15% restocking charge. No returns on electrical parts, DVDs, and books unless they are defective. Absolutely no returns on special order or closeout merchandise.
