Vintage Mexican Folk Art San Augustin Oapan Framed Papel Amate Bark Painting

This beautiful, vintage piece is a Mexican folk art painting from the Nahua indigenous group from San Agustin de Oapan in Southern Guerrero, Mexico.  They paint in a fantastical whimsical style on tree bark paper (amate).  This hand-painted art work is vibrant and beautiful with birds and rabbits and florals in the classic amate style.  It is also framed behind acrylic.  The corners of the frame could stand to be tightened a little, although stable as is.  It measures 28" x 22" x 1". It is in very good shape with no issues.  Also has a paper backing and wire to hang it on the back.
