    Description

    Complete 1.8T 02M 6 speed
    transmission code FZQ removed from a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 1.8 turbo AWP engine. 122K miles approx. The vehicle was stripped because two of the lower bolts in the dog-bone support broke off in the transmission. The owner did not want to invest any more into the car so it was scrapped. Both bolts were extracted, and two time-sert insert were installed into the bolt holes. Everything is as good as new, or better.
    This is a complete swap, to replace a 5 speed transmission, or replace an automatic transmission by a manual one.
    IT WILL ONLY WORK ON 1.8T VW JETTA AND GOLF YEARS 1999.5 TO 2005 ON THE MK4 PLATFORM.
    INCLUDED ARE:
    - 6 speed manual transmission code FZQ. Everything is fine with it, but the speed sensor broke off and will need to be replaced.
    - Both axles. When the bolts broke off the engine rocked back and forward, axles rubbed a little on the sway bar. Does not make any difference on rigidity.
    - Both front spindles. Bearing seats for the 6 speed axles are different from a 5 speed. DUST SHIELDS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED.
    - Starter
    - Clutch line
    - Power steering hose. Has some surface rust on it but perfectly usable.
    - Top bracket for the shifter cables that goes on the transmission. Shifter cables are the same on the 5 and 6 speed.
    - Hardware. I made sure to keep every bolt, but some might be missing. You can re-use the hardware from your vehicle, but all the bolts for the transmission are included.
    - DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CLUTCH. IT WAS OEM, AND HAD NEVER BEEN REPLACED. IT WAS NOT IN GOOD CONDITION SO IT WAS DISCARDED. YOU WILL NEED TO GET A NEW CLUTCH FOR IT WITH A NEW CLUTCH BEARING.
    *** If you plan to install it into a MANUAL vehicle, it's pretty straight forward, and plug and play. For installing it in an AUTOMATIC vehicle, physically everything will fit, but you will need to do some wiring for the speed sensor as the automatic tip-tronic transmission does not have an external speed sensor. ***
    Oil was drained when the car was dismantled. It was clear of any contaminants.
    Axle flange seals didn't leak, but replacing them is recommended upon installation.
    When turned by hand, every speed engages well, nothing abnormal.
    The casing is intact, no holes, no cracks.
    It's complete and nothing from the inside was removed.

    - Fitment is the responsibility of the buyer, please make sure that the part fits your vehicle.
    - All engines/transmissions are tested on the vehicle for functionality, compression and defective parts. The vehicle is road tested before dismantling it to assure that the part is in perfect working order. Everything about it is described in the listing.
    - The warranty only covers the cylinder block and the cylinder head, including camshafts, crankshafts. All other components, while in good order (if not otherwise described) are not covered by the warranty (i.e. intake/exhaust manifold, all hoses, turbo, timing belt components, coils, injectors.) Manual transmissions, it covers the internal gears and the casing.
    - Warranty only covers engines/transmissions installed by a professional and certified garage with proof of installation (receipt)
    - Warranty does not cover the engines/transmissions damaged by misuse, oil starvation damage, damage to the cylinder head, overheating, physical damage to the block and head components, failure to put in recommended fluids according to manufacturer’s specifications (oil, coolant, etc)
    - Shipping costs are non refundable, if the listing has free shipping, the cost of the shipping will be deducted from the refund.
    - Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility and at their expense.
    - 15% restocking fee will be charged on all returned parts, except not as described or defective.
